Open Settings page using this url ( https://twitter.com/settings/account ).
you will see text (Deactivate my account) on the bottom on page
click it and confirm .
Note : that your username and email address can not be used for another
Twitter account until 30 days after the account has been deactivated. , and you can not reactive or reset your account after deactivated.
